As a mother, I always say the most beautiful gift I have received is my children and raising them. They are their own creative souls and it has been an honour to support them to listen to their wisdom, and encourage them to share their unique gifts with those they touch.
I have always told my children to be proud of who we are and where all of our ancestors come from. Dance, craft, and storytelling connect us.
As an artist, I have danced my whole life. First with my dad, who taught me our Hawai’ian dance as our form of storytelling and connecting with the land and the water.
I was the first in my family to go to college for cabinet making. I have always loved working with my hands.
