WHAT IS EROTIC ALIVENESS?

Erotic aliveness a sanctuary of coming home to what has been outlawed for my ancestors - dance, queerness, sexual pleasure, language, freedom of expression! My Kanaka Maoli (native Hawaiian) ancestors considered creative expression to be sacred forms of ritual, self expression, and connection: sex (yes I said sex), dancing, music, and storytelling. Why create? To express my unique aliveness, connect with spirit, and experience closeness with one another.

Storytelling, play and ritual are medicine to hold depths of pain and heartbreak and make space for pleasure I didn’t even think was possible. This is a journey into the personal underworld & a rite of passage. Commitment to knowing oneself and honouring hidden wounds. To practice being a well & wise ancestor.
