in this 6 week class we will play with money & magic rooted in Indigenous values of relationship, aliveness, reciprocity, balance, and mutual thriving. Ready to be a juicy node in the mycelium network?

Me: your decolonial money guide
Ok, what does that look like practically?
Possible applications/ coaching opportunities:
•decolonial exploration of purpose, gifts, and reciprocity (getting paid!)
•how can money flow support me to root deeper in belonging?
•what the heck do I charge?
•asking for a raise
•asking to adjust the budget of a project to meet an evolving scope
•real talk: about intersectional equity, sliding scales, class, reparations for Indigenous & Black kin, disability justice, access and belonging
•Financial interdependence: for those who financially support kin, finding the mutual in mutual aid, attuning to our capacity, being with the grief of limited capacity when we long to meet needs that are just bigger than our current capacity, calling in support of “bigger than us,” planting seeds for expanding our generous capacity
This course is not
•get rich quick
•spiritual bypassing: just manifest abundance and oppression will cease to hinder you/ others
•bro-crypto, invest in exploitive stock markets to grow money fast
This course is especially for you if…
•u were that kid making mud pies, inventing spells, whispering to frogs, and making magic fairy clubs in the woods
•u take whimsy seriously and unreasonable dreams are necessary medicine for liberation
•u want to wake up excited to do purpose aligned work, aligned with your body’s rhythms, and have the money flow to support a full life
•ur ready to practice imagination, curiosity, and wonder muscles for alchemizing economies of exploitation into mutual thriving
•ur imagination is bold and you long for community to embody liberation in this lifetime
•u fantasize about what you would do if you won the lottery, the creative pleasures you would dabble in, adventures with friends, the land back/ commune projects you would fund, Elders you would retire, but feel blocked earning more money
•u feel a lil guilty earning more money, having more free time
•u want more freedom of time & energy to nourish deeper connection in your relationships to creativity, people, land, ancestral joys and responsibilities
•u want to receive more money & possibility without sacrificing you values or embodied capacity
•u have more money/ stability than before but struggle to allow yourself more rest, nourishment, creative risk, and fulfillment
•u want to transmute survivors guilt into survivors grief & be held in a wider web of care
•ur ready to join the stable daddy/aunty club & you still want to be the baby sometimes
•u come from poor/ working class background & find also find it annoying to be told the secret to cracking stability is constriction: I’ll have my ube matcha latte AND move towards housing stability & belonging thank you
•u freeze, fixating on all the possible needs of your fam/community before spending money on basic needs like turning on your heat, having a reliable car w heat/ ac, buying lunch when ur too tired to cook, or have a nice second set of bedsheets
•u also once spent $1000 on a profesh sex worker photoshoot, or some other bend over backwards effort, before deciding to leave a hustle that didn’t match your true expression or sleep rhythms (pro-sex work & more choices)

This offering is a home brew of 10 years of cultivating my creative business, embodiment practice, money magic, dancing with spirit, integration of Indigenous values and ways of being, and lessons from water.
Our relationships with money are also our relationships with: wanting, receiving, giving, and creating. My relationship with money has allowed me more rest, play, complex trauma healing, work within my capacity and aliveness, creative experimentation, deeper intimacy in my romatic connections, increasingly more stable housing after years of chaos, supporting BIPOC & trans fam with loans & care work, and providing financial care and safe stable housing to my Indigenous matriarch and Two Spirit youth kin. I’m saving for future coop dreams and more time to play and deepen in relationships.
We all have different intersections and expansion will look different in each of our paths. After surviving patriarchal incest, welfare, post secondary x non-profit industrial complex, predatory white “mentors,” and intimate violence, I look back and say wow, I’ve built I life I couldn’t have imagined. I want to share practices, ways of being, and most importantly reinforce your inner knowing & longings - so that you can look back in 3 years, in a decade, and say wow, I couldn’t have imagined my life, my relationship with money could allow for this much possibility.
So lets grow our choices, deepen in dignity, safety, and belonging supported by money - together! Because we’re not meant to thrive individually in isolation.

My great great Granny Seymour was a medicine woman and midwife. She lived to be 112 and was chopping her own firewood weeks before her passing into the ancestor realm. She told me to offer this course.

Kanaka maoli: native Hawaiian ancestors - approx 20-25 generations of my ancestors lived in an economic system where those who stewarded the land, harvested food, and fished the seas, fulfilled their responsibilities in only 6 days of labour per month and cultivated lives rich in art, science, ceremony, and kinship.
